Lisbeth Salander is going glam. After breaking out with her Oscar-nominated leading role in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” Rooney Mara is set to portray another iconic woman — this time around, a real-life silver screen legend. She’s starring in and producing an Apple biopic of Audrey Hepburn. Variety confirmed the news.

Plot details are “being kept under wraps” at the moment, so it’s unclear how much of Hepburn’s four-decade career the film will depict. The EGOT winner’s best known on-screen roles include “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “My Fair Lady,” and “Sabrina.” The noted humanitarian took home the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992. She died in 1993.

Besides “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” Mara also scored an Oscar nod for “Carol.” She can currently be seen in neo-noir thriller “Nightmare Alley,” and her upcoming slate includes Sarah Polley’s adaptation of “Women Talking,” Miriam Toews’ acclaimed 2018 novel that tells the story of a group of women struggling to reconcile their faith in the aftermath of a series of sexual assaults perpetrated by men in their remote Mennonite community.
