For the uninitiated The White LotusThe story centers on a group wealthy tourists who are vacationing at a prestigious Hawaiian resort. The idyllic getaway that begins is soon transformed into chaos by the cracks in the lives of these people. According to a press release, it received rave reviews from critics. It was the number one streaming show on HBO Max last year. The true ensemble cast includes Connie Britton (Connie Britton), Alexandra Daddario and Jake Lacy.

It’s happening. Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming, said in a statement, “Mike [White, the creator of White Lotus] has once again delivered a quintessential HBO show, and it’s the talk of the town. We were thrilled to hear where he wanted to go next, after closing this epic chapter in Hawaii, and can’t wait to keep following him wherever he takes us.”
There is no release date yet.The first season was completed in August 2021. Filming for season 2 began Monday, February 28, 2022. The official Instagram account announced the show with a clapper, which was accompanied by a view of several beautiful Italian villas. You can expect a premiere date in the late 2022 or early twenty23.

The premise. We’re getting a new cast of characters—and a new location. Per HBO’s press release, “The next chapter of The White Lotus leaves Hawaii behind and follows a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property and settle in temporarily among its inhabitants.”
The location.On January 20, VarietyAccording to reports, season 2 will take place in Taormina (a resort town in Sicily). In keeping with the Four Seasons Maui season one filming, the fictional White Lotus Resort will take place at the Four Seasons San Domenica Palace. According to the FS San Domenica Palace’s website, the origins of the property date back to 1374, and the classic “Dominican convent was expanded in 1896 to become a hotel, featuring a new building designed in liberty style.” It overlooks the Ionian Sea and has panoramic views of Mount Etna and the ancient Greek theater. Guests who have stayed at the hotel include King Edward VIII, Elizabeth Taylor and Sophia Loren. It is, in other words, a place and property Tanya McQuoid would be happy to call home (Jennifer Coolidge).
