Season two drama Love is blindContinues after the final episode, which was dropped on Netflix last Wednesday. The latest update is Shake NotApologizes for his behavior during the reality dating show.

Deepti and Shake became engaged on the show. The DJ/veterinary professional was criticised for his superficiality toward women, particularly when it comes to their bodies. He claimed to love Deepti no matter what—but after he finally met her in person, he made frequent troubling comments about her appearance. Did he not know the premise of Love is blindThis literally speaks for itself. Unclear, but Shake claimed that Deepti and he had no physical connection. He also made comments about Deepti’s lack of attraction to him to family and friends, even though they were discussing marriage, and a new life together. When they were at the altar—spoiler warning—Deepti could sense something was off and called the relationship quits.

“I hope you know how much you mean to me and the impact you’ve made on my life, but no, I cannot marry you,” Deepti told Shake on the Love is blind finale. “I deserve somebody who knows for sure. So I’m choosing myself, and I’m going to say no.”

Over the weekend, Deepti’s brother defended his sister and called out Shake in a scathing note shared on his personal Instagram account. “In spite of your best efforts to pretend this was all fictional and it was because of the ‘edit,’ no one forced you to say those words,” he wrote. “We welcomed you into our home, and you saw it as an opportunity for clout; so forgive me if I’m not sympathetic towards you and the hate you’re receiving.”

Shake posted a video to his Instagram account on Tuesday, March 1, sharing his side. “One thing I don’t feel inclined to do is pretend I’m sad or sorry about certain things—certain things that were out of my control, certain things that I can’t necessarily even speak about,” he said. “I’m just not going to do that. I’m not sorry.”

He continued, “I think I handled the situation as best as anybody in my situation could. And at the end of the day, I’m going to live my best life going forward. And you don’t have to like me. Only I can like me, thankfully. And that’s real life.”

It will be fascinating for viewers to see how this unfolds at the reunion. The reunion airs on Netflix on Friday March 4.
