The couple made their public debut as a married couple at the Moth Ball 25th Anniversary Gala, held at Spring Studios in New York City. Holmes wore an orange boho dress with a mockneck, bishop sleeves, cinched waist and slight ruffle at hem. This was paired with diamond drop earrings and black kitten-heel shoes. Wooten, however, chose a simple dark green suit with a button-down and pocket square in black.
They were first photographed together in NYC last year, spending time with Holmes’s mother. This sparked rumors that the couple were dating. Wooten is currently a bass player in Moulin Rouge! The MusicalBroadway, and also recently performed with Carly Rae JepsenCoachella. The musician was also nominated in the past for a Grammy Award. He is now an adjunct professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. They also have some common roots in the Midwest, as Wooten is a Chicago transplant, while the actress was born in Toledo, Ohio. People at the time that there is “no drama” between them they were just “at very different place in life.” A month after their breakup, the actress also proved that by publicly supporting her ex after his short film, Fast a Year, which debuted at 2021 Tribeca Film Festival. She posted on social media about how proud it made her feel to be a part.
