Friday, February 4, HBO announced that the Emmy-winning drama (and occasional comedic comedy) had been renewed by HBO for another season. This is not surprising considering that the series is the talk of the internet every episode. I mean, if the fan theories that Cassie was pregnant with Nate’s child had been true…that drama alone could have fueled 10 more seasons’ worth of content. Euphoria is also a ratings hit—per a press release from HBO, the season 2 premiere was the most viewed episode of an HBO series everHBO Max has more than 14,000,000 viewers.

“Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart,” says Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming, in a statement. “We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into season 3.”

When does EuphoriaSeason 3 on air?
Not sure! HBO has not yet announced when filming will commence for the next season. We’ll keep you informed when we find out. We may have to wait: Zendaya is filming two movies simultaneously (a sequel). DuneA romantic drama called ChallengersHer schedule could cause problems. Maybe we’ll get some special episodes during the interim, as the show did during the previous hiatus.
What cast will be back? EuphoriaSeason 3
Given that Sam Levinson wrote, directed and executive-produced the first season, it seems likely that he will return to oversee the drama. The cast remains a mystery. Zendaya is an executive producer and leads the cast. Therefore, it seems unlikely that Zendaya died from an overdose.
We are most concerned about Angus Cloud as Fez. The status of Fez’s health was a big concern at the end of season 2. It’s not surprising that the character was supposed be dead in season 1.
What will happen in EuphoriaSeason 3
Unclear! At this time, we don’t know much about what the actors wish to see for their characters. Maude Apatow said that Lexi would love to continue her budding romance, with Fez. Of course that could be quite complicated now that…things…have…happened. (I’m trying to avoid spoilers!) “I love working with Angus,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “I think Angus is such a great actor, and we just have so much fun working together. So, for selfish reasons, I hope we get to do more scenes together because it’s fun.”
