Billie EilishShe is a true chameleon when tinkering with her hair. She’s managed to achieve a grungy, slime-green root-pop look, and has channeled Marilyn Monroe with her Hollywood blonde hair.

Billie is able to effortlessly switch between rebellious and prim personas without breaking a sweat. After channeling her inner emo child during her recent world tour dates Billie has switched gears once more to surprise everyone with an entirely new vibe while gracing the Oscars red carpet.

The singer paired her floor-length, jet black gown with a matching jetblack flicked hairstyle and full-length fringe. The retro reference is nothing new for Billie who’s managed to find inspiration everywhere – from Holiday Barbie to throwback family pics .

Tom Smith, Evo’s creative director and hairstylist, suggested off-black as a hot color to consider. He noted that Megan Fox, Olivia Rodrigo, and Dua Lipa are all currently wearing the shades. He explained that jet-black is “extremely absorbent of light and can look very solid,” but this dainty hairstyle contrasts the deep color and gives it a fresh twist.

For a look that resembles the 1960s curls, use a round barrel brush to blow dry your hair. Then, roll the ends backwards with a flat-iron. To intensify the curls, use your straighteners.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a hair-flip trend. The flicked Barbie ponytail will be one of the most popular hairstyles this year. It follows that the flicked Bob will also take off, offering a cute update to the classic bob.
