‘And Just Like That…’ Was Officially Renewed for Season 2

The comeback is on the horizon. HBO Max And Just Like That…The modern continuation of Sex and the City, was renewed for a second season.

“I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters—played by these powerful, amazing actors,” executive producer Michael Patrick King said in a statement, released on Tuesday, March 22, per People. “The fact is, we’re all thrilled. And just like That… our Sex life is back.”

Not much is known about the new episodes—like a premiere date or whether the supporting characters will return—but we do know that the core threesome of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) will reprise their roles. What about Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), controversial newcomer 

Head of original content at HBO Max Sarah Aubrey added that the team is “delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much.”

The first season of AJLTThe series sparked discussions about everything from killer Pelotons to aging and alcoholism. The series received mixed reviews, and was definitely a departure. SATC. The episodes were twice as long as the originals, but some claim they are only half as funny. Still, PeopleAccording to reports, the series is HBO Max’s strongest debut.

Each of our heroines found themselves at crossroads in the season finale. After a year of sorrow, Carrie finds her husband in an elevator and meets up with her podcast producer, Miranda. Miranda then leaves Steve (and a prestigious internship), to follow Che Diaz, a comedian, to Los Angeles. Charlotte completes her journey into Judaism, becoming a bat mitzvah, and reading from the Torah. The missing fourth Musketeer was implied to have been Carrie and Samantha Jones, who were revived via text message after Kim Cattrall decided not to continue in the role.
