This is Linying, the voice behind the NDP 2021 song

Add Linying to the likes of Stefanie Sun, Kit Chan, JJ Lin and Tanya Chua – Singaporean singers who have contributed their vocal talents to creating the annual National Day songs we’ve come to love. The NDP-2021 song, titled The Road ahead, features the vocals by Linying, Sezairi Sezali, Shye, and Shabir.

Featuring hyper-relevant, introspective lyrics and a rousing, uplifting tune that lingers long after you’ve heard it (in a good way), The Road aheadLinying composed the music and Evan Low was the music producer.

Linying is a relatively new singer-songwriter, but she has an impressive resume.

Linying was the first female artist from Singapore to sign a multi-rights agreement with Universal Music Singapore in 2016. She joined Charlie Lim and Gentle Bones. (She has since moved to Sony Music Singapore). Her 2015 debut single, Sticky Leaves, has received millions of Spotify plays and has made the Global Viral 50 list. Linying has worked with industry giants like Felix Jaehn, KRONO, as well as having her vocals praised and praised by Troye sivan.

Linying has released her debut album. There could be wreckage here. The album consists of three new songs – ‘This Time, Tomorrow‘, ‘Lovers Stay Right For Each Other’ ‘Shhh’ ft. MILCK – as well as singles that she has released prior. The album traces Linying’s incisive journey of self-discovery through themes such as love, faith, heartbreak and indulging in fleeting moments of happiness throughout her life.
