Conversations about mental health and wellbeing have become an integral part of our daily lives. This is especially true during times like these when everyone has been affected by COVID-19. Despite the increasing popularity of mental health, there is still stigma surrounding seeking professional help. This is largely due to the perceived cost and perception of such services.
According to the Singapore Mental Health Study, one out seven Singaporeans will experience a mental disorder in their lifetime. However, more than 75% of them don’t seek professional help.
Apps that help you feel good about yourself are also being developed. There have been many initiatives and organisations that have been created in recent years to focus on mental health and wellbeing. These apps, unlike professional services that focus on mental illnesses, help users prioritize their mental well-being.
As such, we’ve compiled a list of six apps (three of which are founded by Singaporeans, that aid you in finding and understanding your mental wellness), along with music playlists that you should definitely add to your library for some feel-good vibes.
