You have recently dyed your hair a beautiful red color. You recently dyed your hair red and it looks amazing. How has this changed your beauty routine?
I did it for a movie called National Anthem. My character’s nickname is Penny Jo. I wanted to change it from being blonde. I’ve been a brunette for Cassie for a while, and I wanted something that felt more like me. I cut my hair and gave myself bangs to make Penny Jo look different.

I am a natural brunette, with a bit of red.

Let’s suppose you could only use three beauty products throughout your entire life. What are they?
The Sol Water Mousse, because I feel good when I’m tanned. Two, the Laneige lip cream, because I can’t stand chapped lips and that’s my saving grace. It’s incredible. Because I love mascara, I would choose mascara if I had to choose a makeup product. Armani mascara is a treat for me.
What music do you listen to when getting ready?
My hair stylist Flo is also my DJ, as I am terrible at picking music. Flo sets the mood. I tend to play slower, more melancholy music. It’s like your life feels like a music video. You’re staring out of the window and wanting to cry. He doesn’t like it. He does not like that. He just plays music that makes us feel good.
What is your favorite way of taking a moment for you?
My favorite way to relax is by cuddling my dog Tank.
What is your power perfume?
My Way by Armani. The bottle is my favorite color and has a little blue tip. It has taken me many, long years to find the right scent. It’s been a journey. It begins to make a difference on different parts of your skin. It’s a process, and this is the one that I have been sticking to.
What’s the TikTok rabbit hole you have been down in the past?
I always like watching makeup tutorials, so I get sucked either into like makeup tutorials or just really funny fails, but my TikTok does also pertain to a lot of house remodels. This account shows people going in to old abandoned houses, churches, and schools and finding letters left behind. This lady, from 1800s, wrote letters to her husband at the war front or to her neighbors. Then, there are a lot more letters. I’m obsessed. It’s so sweet how they wrote it. It’s so professional. It’s so nice to write letters like this.
Do you have a confidence tip you can rely on before a photo shoot or red carpet if you aren’t feeling your best?
If I feel the carpet isn’t right for me, I just tell my self it’s a picture. It’ll hopefully be gone in 24hrs.
Because I have to be Syd, I get anxious before every carpet. Because people are judging the characters, I feel more confident being different characters.
I get nervous before every single one. I pretend to be someone else when I go onto these carpets.
