Rebecca Miller’s newest has been tapped to open the 2023 Berlin Worldwide Movie Pageant. Oscar winner Anne Hathaway and four-time Emmy winner Peter Dinklage topline “She Got here to Me,” which is able to make its world premiere on the fest February 16. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the information.

The romantic comedy is ready in New York and follows a composer (Dinklage, “Recreation of Thrones”) with author’s block who’s “struggling to finish his large comeback opera. On the suggestion of his spouse, and former therapist, performed by Hathaway, he units out seeking inspiration, getting greater than he bargained for,” per the supply.

Marisa Tomei (“Spider-Man: No Method Residence”) and Joanna Kulig (“Hanna”) co-star.

“We’re very happy to open this pageant version with an irresistible comedy that builds upon the on a regular basis conflicts of western society,” stated Berlinale administrators Mariëtte Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian in a press release. “The characters, conceived by Rebecca Miller and incarnated by incredible actors select to observe the inspiration of the second as a substitute of being led by societal dictates. Like a pre-code Hollywood movie, ‘She Got here to Me’ is a magical ode to the liberty of expression.”

Two of Miller’s earlier options screened on the Berlinale, 2015’s “Maggie’s Plan” and 2009’s “The Non-public Lives of Pippa Lee.” She final directed “Arthur Miller: Author,” a 2017 doc about her father, the famed playwright behind “Dying of a Salesman” and “The Crucible.”

Hathaway received an Oscar for “Les Misérables” and obtained a nod for “Rachel Getting Married.” She had a supporting position in 2022’s “Armageddon Time,” a coming-of-age drama exploring race, faith, and the American Dream. She and “Final Evening in Soho’s” Thomasin McKenzie  lead “Eileen,” a psychological thriller a couple of friendship between two girls working at a jail that’s set to make its world premiere at Sundance later this month.

Berlin Movie Fest runs February 16-26.
