The pandemic has had a profound impact on how we view our financial lives. When I was first trying to rethink my financial journey due to the pandemic I searched for any resource that could relate to me as a woman from color trying to keep my budget in check while focusing on my generational wealth. I knew that my journey to financial wellness would be difficult, due to the high pay gap women of colour still face and an inflated economy with rising costs. However, the wealth of information provided by many podcasts on career and finance gave me hope.

People of color are showing up in the financial space more than ever before, giving tips and advice on how to achieve the American Dream of financial freedom, something that hasn’t been easily attainable due to the growing racial wealth gap keeping people of color from achieving wealth. Data from the 2019 Survey of Consumer Finances shows that while people of color are seeing record wealth growth, they still fall behind their white counterparts because of the large wealth gap between them and the rest of the population.

These podcasts will help you get better advice on how to budget your money, whether you’re looking to start investing, improve your side hustle, or invest for the first time.
