For the star-studded event, the actor wore a sleek, double-breasted, autumn/winter 2022 Sportmax jacket with a sculptural shoulder and a cinched waist. The trousers had a generous flare. The androgynous accessories Bulgari – A leather tie and striking smokey eye, as well as a brooch with a leaf motif and knuckle duster rings.
With an eye that’s always attuned to her Spiderman boyfriend Tom Holland’s wardrobe, Zendaya and her long-time stylist Law Roach have a soft spot for red-carpet tailoring. Earlier this month, she rocked a hot pink Valentino suit at Paris Fashion Week and she’s experimented with tailoring by Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Berluti and Alexandre Vauthier in the past. Fittingly for a screen queen, Sportmax’s autumn/winter 2022 collection was a celebration of cinematic vixens and femme fatales, flitting between boyfriend tailoring and vampish body-flaunting silhouettes.
Zendaya’s after-party two-piece also tapped into the Oscars penchant for androgynous looks this year. Kristen Stewart in an idiosyncratically subversive Chanel black satin shorts suit, Lady Gaga in a Ralph Lauren “liquid lamé” tuxedo jumpsuit, and Wanda Sykes in a white tuxedo by Sergio Hudson offset the high-octane glamour of embellished gowns traditionally associated with the Oscars red carpet.
