Jada always looks amazing on the red carpet, I’m not going lie. The fashion moment of the year was Glenn Martins’ rendition of Jean-Paul Gaultier that Jada wore for the designer’s latest couture collection. It’s haute couture without being stereotypical haute couture—that is to say, it’s missing the typical girly, bubbly, feminine elements that I personally find a bore. Martins’s way with fabric is extraordinary, and Jada chose a Gaultier look to grace us all. —Ana Escalante, editorial assistant
Megan Thee Stallion
Meg went a little out of the box by using lots of leg and a lot of blue! I love a straight hair style with a plunging chin and lots of skin. Bold makeup brought this look together and made it look so elegant. —C.S.
Maggie Gyllenhaal
My favorite thing about Maggie Gyllenhaal’s Schiaparelli couture Oscar dress is that she looks, in a non-problematic way, like a paper doll—the structured, off-the-shoulder sleeves remind me of those little paper tabs. The gold accents are like sparkly pompoms on a well-wrapped gift, but they get run over by cars. It feels so tactile and sophisticated, and it is well suited for her transition to screenwriting and directing. It’s amazing. I love it. —Jenny Singer, staff writer
