Shaun White Shared How Nina Dobrev Is Helping Him Adjust to Life After Retirement

2021

February: TVD fans freak out when Nina and Shaun go on a snowboarding double date with Nina’s former costar Paul Wesley and his wife, Ines de Ramon.

June:Interview with Use commemorating their one-year anniversary, Shaun White mentions that he’s been binge-watching The Vampire Diaries. Same, Shaun!

“As we were getting to know each other, I was like, ‘Oh, I should check this show out,’” White said. “There’s a lot of episodes. Not that I was mad about it, but I didn’t realize, like, how deep I was going to go. Seasons are now like 10 episodes. These are 23 episodes per season. And I was in it!”

October:In a home-tour clip Architectural DigestNina Dobrev revealed that Shaun White helped her paint her house’s exterior white during lockdown. “Let’s just say on day one or two, we were really excited, and by day three or four, and into the first month, I was like, ‘What have I gotten myself into?’” she said. 

For Halloween, the couple dressed up as characters from Netflix’s popular Emmy-winning limited series The Queen’s Gambit,They gender-flipped their costumes.

January: White honors his gf’s birthday with a selfie shared on IG with the caption “happy birthday you hot mess.”

Interview with People,White was elated about his girlfriend. “Nina’s incredible. He said that Nina had had a profound impact on his life. She runs her own show, has her own world, is involved in companies, produces, and all that stuff. She holds me to the same high standard. It’s wonderful to have her as a partner.”
