See the First Trailer for Jennifer Lopez’s Netflix Documentary ‘Halftime’

Alert: A Jennifer Lopez documentary has been created.

February 1, 2009 – New York Timesprofile revealed that Netflix is making a Jennifer Lopez documentary about the historic year in which the multihyphenate turned half-century old. That 12-month period was, she said, when “everything I had worked for in movies, music, and fashion just started happening.” And on May 18, the first trailer for the film, which will be available for streaming on June 18, finally arrived:

In her 50th year, the superstar played the sizzling Ramona in Lorene Scafaria’s HustlersShe was critically acclaimed and received her second Golden Globe nomination. It’s My Party world tour; received the CFDA’s Fashion Icon Award; and stormed the runway at Milan Fashion Week wearing the same plunging Versace jungle dress that had become legendary after she chose it for the 2000 Grammys. If that wasn’t enough, she then went on to headline the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show with Shakira.

Lopez stated in a 2019 video diary that it was important for her to celebrate her 50th anniversary with the concert tour. “It was important as a woman to do that, to let people know that you don’t get to write women off at a certain point in their life,” she said. “You’re getting better and better as you go, so long as you are open to the experience of growing and evolving.” Get ready to be inspired.
