Reese Witherspoon Just Dropped a New Draper James Line at Kohls That Has Major Bridgerton Vibes

Reese Witherspoon & Kohls have an exclusive capsule collection called Draper Jim RSVP. It will give you modern-day spring thanks to Reese Witherspoon Bridgerton vibes. 

“The collection turned out so beautiful and we’re so happy to be launching at Kohl’s. It’s feminine and floral, just like you. Bridgerton,” Witherspoon tells Glamour. “There’s this sense of escape and an idea that there’s pageantry to things, that we can get dressed up again. It’s a really exciting, optimistic feeling, so we wanted to do something fun, like you were invited to a great party after being cooped up inside between this very cold winter and the pandemic.”

Witherspoon and the Kohls team put together an elaborate outdoor party that perfectly reflected the collection’s vibe. The Morning ShowSunny disposition and charismatic acting skills. “It was just so fun to see [the set designers]Decorate with flowers and candles and all the fancy decorations. Unfortunately, I had to leave when it was all over because it wasn’t my house,” she says with a laugh. 

“I love this dress,” Witherspoon tells Glamour. “It’s just classic with this beautiful feminine neckline and sleeve, plus a pop of yellow that’s so fun and joyful. This dress was the favorite at the shoot. It was perfect for Easter or Passover. [seder]Or a graduation or wedding. It’s just very happy.”

The decor is not for sale but the clothes are. They include pastel and nautical-themed dresses and bodysuits, blazers and blouses, structured blazers and bodysuits as well as jean jackets and skirts. “The Kohls team said, ‘You know, we’re really missing that kind of lively, bold, joyful clothing that Draper James makes,’ so we were really excited to collaborate with them.”

The RSVP collection had three requirements. It started with an affordable price. “People want something new in their closet, but don’t want to break the banks, so we priced the clothes between $44 and $98,” Witherspoon says. 

It had to be more size inclusive with styles that range from XS to XXL (or 0-18). “We tried to be mindful of every age group and every body type,” she says. “And when there’s a female design team, we actually know what women wear, and we design to it, because we all want to be able to wear it ourselves. It’s great to find things that are missing in the market.
