Winter is coming to an end, but a sleek, off-black hair color is never out of style.
It’s easy for people to believe that going blonde is the best way to get warmer temperatures. Instagram has been flooded with expensive blonde looks and nectar blondes. Florence Pugh and Gigi Hdid recently returned to the popular shade.
Off-black hair is the trendiest look this spring. Although a full black hairstyle can be quite dramatic, you can still achieve a cool, brunette look by using an off-black dye.
“While very dark, this hair color is actually the darkest shade of brown with a very cool, ashy undertone, giving the appearance of black to the untrained eye,” says Tom Smith, celebrity hair colorist and creative director at Australian haircare brand evo. “This stops the shade looking too harsh or draining, but retains the striking, inky appearance of the hair. Off-black is a current celebrity favorite, recently seen on Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Megan Fox, and Maya Jama.”
Off-black allows brunettes to experiment with darker shades, even though they may not like jet black. Ask your stylist for the most dark shade of brown and coolest ash tone to achieve this color.
This style gives the appearance of dramatic dye, but is easy to maintain. Smith claims that this shade can be maintained with the evofabuloso colour-boosting treatment in the cool brown shade.
This dye can be used to cut hair. The color change doesn’t have the to end with the hair. You could try a boy bob to give the new color a natural look, or a blowout bob for a throwback to the ’90s.
