Nick Jonas Priyanka ChopraThey are so happy to finally have their daughter Malti MarieAfter she spent 100 days in the infant intensive care unit, she returned to her home.

Jonas shared his story about becoming a father, telling Kelly Clarkson on her show Wednesday that his newborn is simply “the best.” He added, “It’s just been a magical season in our life. Also pretty wild, but it’s a blessing to have her home. It’s been wonderful.” Clarkson then pulled up the photo of Malti that Jonas and Chopra previously shared on their Instagram accounts and the singer joked about the emoji they had used to cover the baby’s face, saying, “There she is…She’s got a little heart face.”

The couple brought home their baby from NICU earlier in the month. Alongside a photo of them both cradling the newborn, Chopra wrote, “On this Mother’s Day we can’t help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we’ve been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced.” She continued, “After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours was a challenging few months, what becomes abundantly clear, in retrospect, is how precious and perfect every moment is. Our little girl is now home and we are thrilled. She thanked her doctors and specialists, describing her daughter as “truly a badass” and expressing gratitude. Jonas also commented on the post, writing, “Babe, you inspire me and every way, and you are taking to this new role with such ease and steadiness. I am so grateful to have been on this journey with your. You are an amazing mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.”

In January, the couple announced that they had a new addition to the family through a surrogate. This was in social media statements. In Vanity Fair’s February 2022 cover story ahead of this announcement, Chopra also discussed that she and Jonas were ready to become parents. “They’re a big part of our desire for the future,” she said about the prospect. “By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.” She also added that they were both “okay with” slowing down once they did have a baby.
