Lizzo Teases Her New Song With a Butt-Tattoo Reveal

Lizzo got a butt tattoo…well, kind of. The “Juice” singer is promoting her new single, “It’s About Damn Time,” on Instagram by teasing ink on her derriere. (Although we’re pretty sure it’s a temporary design.)

“I CANT WAIT TO SHOW YALL MY NEW ASS TATTOO— UNTIL THEN U GOTTA PRE-SAVE *MY NEW SONG* ‘ABOUT DAMN TIME’ ⌚️🔥⌚️🔥⌚️ LINK IN, UM, FREAKIN UM, BIO, MAN 😤,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a one-second clip of someone peeling paper from her behind to almost reveal a design, scored by the titular line from her upcoming song.

The video was posted Monday March 28th. It shows an ungloved hand removing skin coverings. If you’ve ever gotten a tattoo—I have! With my mommy! So cute, I know—you know that’s not really how it goes. One would put the hand in a latex glove. Just check out this TikTok of Charli D’Amelio, Iris Apatow, Olivia Rodrigo, and Avani Gregg getting matching finger tats for a glimpse at a tattoo artist at work. Another reason is that permanent tattoos can be a little messy at first, so they are covered with a transparent film to protect them. Temporary transfer tats, however, go on…exactly like the one on Lizzo. We are not calling her a fool! She claimed it was a tattoo, and it is. Just pointing out that if you’re going to get a genuine tattoo of your own, don’t expect it to go like this.

Lizzo has a history of using her body to promote her music, and why shouldn’t she? If you’re going to be looked at anyway, might as well get some streams out of it!
