Stewart changed into a completely new Chanel later in the evening. Vanity Fair after-party. She wore a black lace gown, socks and platform sandals. It’s a great combination of stylish and comfortable!

In 2016 she even wore blue sneakers on the Cannes red carpet despite the festival’s semi-official policy that women must wear heels. She protested by taking off her shoes while on the red-carpet in 2018.
On and off the red carpet, she’s a lace-up devotee. She had worn over ten pairs of sneakers to different events by 2012.
The woman isn’t going to stop wearing her heels. This move was pulled in 2016, 2015, at Venice and Cannes, premieres, and everywhere else. Why shouldn’t she take them off! They pinch your feet, strain your back, and cause injury to your knees. Maybe next time Chanel will have a pair that Stewart can wear all night.
