Kim Kardashian’s Saturday Night LiveWhen the reality TV family reached 30 Rock, debut was the most dramatic thing to happen.

Previously on Hulu’s series The Kardashians, Kim broke down after hearing that Ray J’s manager supposedly had unseen footage from their infamous 2007 sex tape. The saga ended with a rather unlikely hero in the third episode.

On the day of Kim’s big hosting gig, the reality star sat down with her team, Kris Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian to reveal that her ex, Kanye West, flew all the way back to L.A. from New York City in coach to retrieve every bit of footage from Ray J. “I just came from the airport. This is my travel-in-coach vibes,” Kanye tells Kris when he arrives at Kim’s dressing room.

“[Kanye]This morning, he came back. I want to show you guys what he got me,” Kim Kardashian says through tears, rolling out the suitcase containing the footage and hard drives, as if they’re in an early-2000s hacker thriller. Kim revealed that she had not seen any footage and was not concerned about it during a confessional. “I watched it, it was just footage of us at a restaurant, at a nightclub, nothing sexual, nothing weird,” she said. “And so now I can take a deep breath and not worry about this right before SNL.”

Kim was grateful to Kanye, despite the fact that he gave her peace-of-mind. “I know Kanye did this for me, but he also did this for my kids,” Kim said. “I want to shield them from as much as I can, and if I had the power to or if Kanye has the power to like that, is just the most important thing to me, and I’m just like so emotional because of it…. It just means a lot to me.”
