The pop icon shared a video on Instagram on January 21 showing that her ever-blonde hair is now a dark shade of lavender purple.
“Here’s me with purple hair… I’m bored, ok ???” She captioned the Reel. “Very bored, so my nail girl said to do it !!!! Girl. I did it but not sure I like it but hey … Here’s me in a 100 dollar mini dress with my boots.”
Whoever is doing Brit’s manicures these days, I have to thank because it’s filling me with pure glee to watch the singer play around with her image in an entirely new way (not something we’ve gotten to witness in recent years for… obvious reasons). Evidently, Spears’s fans are also into it: the video has been viewed almost 8 million times since publication of this article, and the comments section is filled with purple heart emoticons.
