Britney Spears appears to be calling a truce with Jamie Lynn Spears…sort of.
After a series of public calls regarding her sister’s controversial memoir, Things I Should have SaidBritney shared a passionate plea with Jamie Lynn via social media. “Jamie Lynn… Your book is not about me, I think. I said some harsh words because your book is not about me !!!” Britney wrote the long Twitter note January 15.
Britney seems to be referring at least to one passage in Jamie Lynn’s memoir, in which Britney accuses Britney and Jamie Lynn of locking them up in a room while holding a knife. On January 14, Britney refuted those claims wholeheartedly, writing “only a scum person would make up such things about someone.”
Now, Britney says her point is that Jamie Lynn is not a “scum person,” which is what makes the situation so hurtful and confusing. “But it doesn’t make sense to me at all what you are stating!!! I know that you worked hard to get the life you have. You have done incredible !!!!”. Britney continued. Britney said, “But I think that we would both have the agreement to the fact the family has not been as hard on you than they have been to me!” They don’t do that to criminals like they did to Dad… so to pretend to be completely unaffected by what happened to me is insane to me
She continued, “Does anyone know anyone who worked as hard as me and the hours that I put in over those 13-years only to be sent home for four months for no reason?” And I won’t even mention what was done !!!”to me in that location
“All I know is that I love you unconditionally !!!” Britney Spears continued. Britney Spears said, “So you can say what you want… it’s so taky for a family fight publicly like this!” You claim you love me… but your loyalty is still with those who have hurt me the most
Britney concluded her message by telling Jamie Lynn to “say whatever” she wants. “I don’t care anymore!!! No matter what you say, I know your true heart better than anyone. It’s your life and you deserve a beautiful life,” she wrote. “I wish that I could do what you do and interview! I’m afraid of everything. I admire your strength…just know that I love you more !!!”

According to PeopleJamie Lynn replied to the message via Instagram Stories by asking her older sibling to speak to her privately. Jamie Lynn wrote: “Britney – Please call me. I have tried many time to speak to you and handle this privately as sisters should, but you still choose do everything publicly.” “Please don’t continue to tell me that I haven’t been there or that I’m making things up. I am happy to share the number of times I have reached out to you, supported and tried to help. This is embarrassing. You are my best friend.”
