Blake Lively just wants her children to be proud.
During a recent interview with ForbesPublished May 17, Lively spoke out about the impact motherhood has had upon her self-image, and the projects she is involved in. The Gossip Girl star shares three daughters—seven-year-old James, five-year-old Inez, and two-year-old Betty—with her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
Lively stated, “I think having kids for me made me feel so more in my skin,” Forbes. “I never felt more myself or at ease in my own body or more confident — not to say that there aren’t a bevy of insecurities coming at me a million times a day, but I just feel incredibly settled.”
Lively’s confidence has had a positive impact on her style and career. Betty Buzz, a non-alcoholic premium mixer, said Lively that her family is at the heart of everything she does and that it’s at the core of everything I create. “So, I always create something with my family in mind when I create it, because that’s how I live.”
She added, “That also applies to the types of films that I want. I want my children to see films I’m proud to be in, and I want to make films. Even the gowns I wear — I just want my kids to be proud.”
Blake Lively’s next film project will be the highly anticipated sequel. A simple favor (2018). The campy thriller followed Stephanie Smothers, an Anna Kendrick-voiced widowed mommy vlogger who formed a friendship (Lively) with the mysterious and dangerous Emily Nelson. Lively and Kendrick are set to reprise their roles.
