Ilya Nur Fadhly might have made it to the highest 5 on MasterChef Singapore Season Three, however there’s one critic he has but to win over — his spouse.
“My mum thought I used to be prepared so she advised me to check out for the present, however my spouse nonetheless thinks there’s work to be performed,” the 36-year-old meals supply rider and self-taught chef tells AsiaOne good-naturedly.
As for his personal motivations for being on the present, he quips: “Really, I simply wished to be on TV lah.”
Ilya turns severe as he provides that the second he formally obtained his apron — signifying that he’d made it to the present — was a pivotal one for him. It was then that he really felt the gravity of the competitors and set his eyes on the prize.
“Nothing else mattered,” Ilya tells us. “I didn’t wish to be second, third, fourth. I wished the title.”
