Got a tight neck? Do these easy stretches

0

With the constant looking down at your desk, laptop, or phone, it’s no surprise that many of us suffer from stiff necks. This is why the text neck or turtleneck syndrome, in which your head is pointed forward and your neck is angled downward, is very common in this age.

Although tight necks are very common among desk workers, they’re often overlooked. Tight necks can cause tension and spasms in the trapezius (traps). This muscle runs from the base of your neck to your shoulders and ends in the middle of your back. This muscle is essential for maintaining a stable spine. It also helps you move your head and neck, arms, shoulders, and torso.

And that’s why it’s important to do neck stretches. Stretching your neck can help relieve pain and increase your freedom of movement, giving your confidence and more freedom. It can improve your posture and sleep, making you feel more energetic.

These are three of my favorite neck stretches you can do anywhere, anytime.
