Tucked away within the tranquil Bukit Ho Swee residential space, Beo Crescent Meals Centre is yet one more beloved foodie gem in Tiong Bahru (alongside the well-known Tiong Bahru Meals Centre only a brief stroll away). The only-floor institution was opened in 1965 and has a classic, old-timey really feel, full with pastel tones and an analogue clock on the entrance.
Albeit not the most important of meals centres, its aisles are lined with a superb mixture of old-school distributors – some which were plying their commerce right here for many years – and newer faces together with a former Din Tai Fung chef. Right here’s all the things price sampling, from crispy claypot rice to fluffy tutu kueh to chewy made-from-scratch noodles.
