8 Activities That Are Perfect for Spring Date Nights

0

After months of watching movies together and preparing for dinner together, it is time for a refresh. Spring is a great time to start thinking about spring dates.

Outdoor activities are always first on my mind when planning a date night this time of year, mostly because sipping a cocktail on a patio is one of my all-time favorite things to do but also because activities like taking a bike ride or planning a picnic with my partner are things we haven’t had the chance to enjoy together in what feels like forever.

I have a feeling you are nodding your head and thinking, “I feel you, sis,” so my advice to you is this: Take advantage of this new season and switch things up for date night! There are so many fun, romantic, and easy ways to spend time with your partner in spring that you will have a great time regardless of what you do. Here are my top spring date ideas:

1. Visit a winery

A visit to a winery is always a good idea. But, they are even more enjoyable in spring. Enjoy the fruits of the season together with your partner. Go to your local winery and try some seasonal wines. Enjoy a romantic evening with your partner. This gives you the chance to wear a springtime outfit with wine country vibes.

2. Pack a picnic

Picnics are a popular spring date idea. But, it’s not without reason. It is one the most romantic, easy-to-do, and romantic things you can do together. All you have to do is pack a bag with snacks (charcuterie boards are great for this since you won’t have to worry about silverware), drinks (wine, please! You will need music, a blanket, and some games. Enjoy a picnic in a park nearby or in your own backyard.

3. Go to a baseball match

Baseball is back, and even if you don’t care to watch the game itself, going to a game is one of the best spring date ideas to plan with your partner. It’s easygoing yet full of energy, and there is actually a lot to do at a baseball game besides watching the game the entire time. You can wander around the stadium and visit the shops. You can also grab drinks and food from the shops.

4. Go on a bicycle ride

Get out your bikes and go exploring the city! You can go on a bike ride with your friends, whether you want to take a stroll through the neighborhood, bike to a local brewery or trail. Plus, it’s a nice way to switch things up from all of the driving you did last season.

5. Play mini-golf

Is there anything more flirty and competitive than challenging your partner at mini-golf? I don’t think so. This spring date night idea may seem trite and you might be surrounded with kids, but it will be fun. Whoever loses buys ice-cream! If you tie, a tiebreaker date has been planned.

6. Enjoy dinner on our patio

Ah, patio season. Don’t you love it? Many people are eager to eat outside again as soon as the temperature rises above 55 degrees. It is important to make reservations if going out. If you decide to eat in, you should make reservations. But if you want to eat inside, you can make your own reservations.

7. Meet for rooftop drinks

If you find it easier to meet up for drinks after work than for dinner plans, consider a rooftop location. You can enjoy a springtime mocktail or cocktail with your partner, while taking in the view and enjoying the warm spring breeze. If you can catch the sunset together from the rooftop, that’s even better.

8. Take a walk in the garden

Whether you take a stroll through your neighborhood to see what your neighbors are planting or check out a local nursery, this is one of the best (if not the only) times that you will see gardens and flower beds as beautiful as they are in the spring—so head out with your partner to go see them. You can always plant a garden together, whether you are a confident gardener or have a green thumb.
