This bakery calls itself “The home of Gluten-free” in Singapore so you can find everything from gluten-free breads, cakes and buns to muffins, cereal, and vegan snacks and jams.
One founder is a chef; the other is nutrition expert and coach. Anne and Susan, both young mothers, wanted healthier baked goods that their children would enjoy. They got creative and got baking!
The Whole Kitchen now has two cafes that offer bakery samples so you can see what they are like before you buy. The one in Katong on East Coast is the oldest, while the CBD’s newer branch is the CBD. Their gluten-free baked goods can be found in many great cafes throughout Singapore, including Common Man Coffee Roasters and Wild Honey.
The Whole Kitchen uses natural ingredients, and keeps sugar levels low. All the breads and cakes are delicious. The Gluten-free 7 Seed Country Loaf is made from a mix of gluten free flours, featuring brown rice, buckwheat, fibre-rich sunflower, chia and flaxseeds. 700 grams at $120.95 Six muffins of gluten-free Mini Lemon and Coconut Muffins cost $14.95
