Tig Notaro, an Emmy- and Grammy-nominated standup comedian, writer and radio contributor, is also an actor. Her credits include “Army of the Dead” and “Star Trek: Discovery.” She recently released her second HBO special, “Tig Notaro: Drawn.” She hosts the advice podcast “Don’t Ask Tig” and the documentary podcast “Tig and Cheryl: True Story.”
Stephanie Allynne works as a writer and performer. Her acting credits include “The L Word: Generation Q,” “One Mississippi,” “Room 104,” “Twin Peaks,” “In a World…,” and “People Places Things.” Her writing credits include “First Ladies” and the acclaimed Amazon series “One Mississippi.”

W&H: Describe the film for us in your own words.
TN&SA: This is a film about sexuality. It’s a film about female friendship. It’s about what it means to embrace who you truly are a little later in life. It’s about making the decision to be your truest authentic self and then seeing how the pieces fall.
W&H: What drew you to this story?
TN&SA: We were very drawn to the idea of someone discovering, embracing, and acting on their deepest desires.
W&H: What do you want people to think about after they watch the film?
TN&SA: The hope is that people look inward and question if they are living a congruent life.
W&H: What was the biggest challenge in making the film?
TN&SA: We have been working on this film for almost four years, and while there have been a plethora of challenges, we don’t think anything is as monumental as filming during a global pandemic.
W&H: How did you get your film funded? Let us know how you got the film produced.
TN&SA: We think it is safe to say this was a passion project for everyone involved. We started from scratch, and everyone who worked on it came from a place where they felt a personal connection.
W&H: What inspired you to become a filmmaker?
TN&SA: We are very interested in the human spirit, nuance, and character-driven stories
