“A Black Girl Sketch Present’s” creator Robin Thede and director Bridget Stokes are teaming up once more, this time within the realm of horror-comedy. Deadline experiences that Stokes is ready to helm Amazon Studios’ “Killing It,” a zombie pic with a script with Thede.
“Killing It” tells the story of 4 greatest buddies who “try and redeem their faculty reputations by touring to the SpelHouse homecoming. Their quest for vindication turns into a struggle for survival when a zombie apocalypse begins to terrorize the nation,” the supply teases.
Thede is among the many venture’s producers.
Thede made historical past as the primary and solely Black girl to create an Emmy-nominated sketch sequence with HBO’s “A Black Girl Sketch Present,” which is written, directed, and toplined completely by Black girls. She beforehand hosted BET’s “The Rundown with Robin Thede.”
