My mother has maintained a strict bedtime of 9 p.m. throughout my entire life. No matter what event we attended, the tasks we needed to complete or vacations we were on; my mother would tap her wrist at 8:30 p.m. to signal us that we must leave Ireland and get home STAT. Enter the innumerable times she had an overwhelming opinion about what Netflix movies to watch. Then, she fell asleep before the movie started.
Two weeks ago, my mother called me at 10:30 p.m.—basically her “middle of the night.” What could my mother, who adheres to such a strict bedtime, want this late at night? I answered with much confusion, only to immediately burst out laughing when she exclaimed, “DexterIt’s such a great show. Have you seen it?”
There’s nothing quite like finding a new thrilling series that makes you abandon your morals and your bedtime. These shows are for our editors. From true crime to romance to drama to comedy and beyond, here are 10 shows that our team can’t get enough of right now:

2. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip
Where to find the Stream: Peacock
Number of Seasons
So maybe I’m biased because I love reality TV (like, the trashier the better), but the Ultimate Girls Trip was the treat from the reality TV gods that I needed. It’s like everything you love about The Real Housewives but with way more drama and on a tropical island (and with a hot butler—to no one’s surprise—who Luann hits on). It’s fascinating watching all the women you know and love (or love to hate) interact with each other. I’ll be honest, after watching the first episode, I bought Peacock Premium just to watch the rest of the season and it was well worth the $5.

3. Station Eleven
Where to find the Stream: HBO Max
Number of Seasons 1
This one is close to home as it tells stories of survivors who survived the devastating flu pandemic. If you enjoyed The Walking Dead, this show has a similar take on how humans create life and civilization again after an illness kills off most of the world’s population. I’m obsessed with the casting and was instantly hooked after the first episode.

4. New Blood: Dexter
Where to find the Stream: Showtime
Number of Seasons 1
Surprisingly, though I never watched the original Dexter series, I am hooked on this spinoff. This slow-burning thriller will grab your attention if you can handle the gory details (I just cover mine eyes). I personally don’t love super dark shows, which is why I didn’t watch the original Dexter. When I first discovered this season, I was hesitant to watch the first episode. But after watching it, I knew that I had to see the rest.

5. The Morning Show
Where to find the Stream: Apple TV
Number of Seasons 2
Listen, I Know I’m late to this one. I wasn’t going to get Apple TV, but I caved to watch Ted Lasso (also 100% a must-watch), and if you’re also late to the game, you absolutely should watch The Morning Show ASAP. I usually watch light, bingeable TV shows but I do love that. The Morning ShowEngaging, relevant topics are covered, and the cast is amazing. It’s too real and so important to not see.

6. College Girls’ Sex Lives
Where to find the Stream: HBO Max
Number of Seasons 1
I’m a little behind on this one, but after many glowing recommendations from friends, I decided to give College Girls’ Sex Lives a watch—and then I finished the entire series on one Friday night. This show is everything I was missing in my regular watch list—it’s fun and easy to watch, all of the acting is amazing, and the characters are lovable. If you’ve been chasing that feeling that 2000s-era shows like One Tree HillAnd 90210If you were looking for the perfect gift, this is it.

7. Yellowjackets
Where to find the Stream: Showtime
Number of Seasons 1
This new series on Showtime is the perfect mix of ’90s nostalgia, mystery, and dark humor! It’s great to see shows jump from the present to a moment in the past throughout a series to build the whole picture. Each episode leaves you wanting more.

8. Euphoria
Where to find the Stream: HBO Max
Number of Seasons 2
The good news is that: EuphoriaThe show is back! The bad news is that every Sunday will be the last day for new episodes. It has been a really long time since I’ve watched a show where I felt so emotionally attached to every single character. This series has a great storyline. Although some topics and scenes are quite heavy, the episodes are shot beautifully.

9. Greek
Where to find the Stream: Hulu

After watching and loving College Girls’ Sex LivesI was in desperate need of a lighthearted, easy-to watch college drama, so I found it. Greek. I watched this show way back in the day when it first aired, but I hadn’t seen an episode since, so it feels like watching a whole new show. I think this show is criminally underrated, and I’ve really been enjoying it.

10. Gossip Girl
Where to find the Stream: HBO Max
Number of Seasons 1
This show was terrible when it first came out last fall. I began watching it again. I watched one episode and didn’t continue. I was looking for a guilty pleasure show that I could listen to in the background or fall asleep too during the holidays. So I started it again and I love it. Is it great yet? It is not yet good, but it is something I enjoy. It brings me joy, and makes me want to rewatch the original GG.

11. Yellowstone
Where to find the Stream: Peacock
Number of Seasons 3
“Do you watch Yellowstone?” was the #1 holiday question my husband and I got asked this year. I wish I had thought to tally it to compare it with last year’s “so when are you going to have a baby?”, but the results probably would have just opened an old wound. All my relatives, distant and close, loved this Western drama. The simplest way to describe it is Succession meets Game of Thrones But Montana has sexy cowboys. Every character is bad, but you find yourself rooting in your favorite villain. There’s enough betrayal, violence, doomed love, and cliffhanger moments to make you positively giddy over the four whole seasons you’ll get to binge through.

12. And Just Like That…
Where to find the Stream: HBO Max
Number of Seasons 1
Prior to the publication of Sex and the City’s long awaited return to the small screen, I binge-watched most episodes and the two movies, and it made me heavily excited for the show. Now, it’s the only show I’m watching every single week without fail for the first time since I tuned into the final season of Game of Thrones. Each episode gets better and better, but I’ll be honest: Even if it was pure dumpster-fire trash, I’d still watch for the nostalgia alone.
– Beth Gillette, Beauty Content Manager and Associate Editor
13. Queer Eye
Where to find the Stream: Netflix
Number of Seasons 8
Queer Eye is back to remind us that there is hope and love in the world—and let me just tell you that after the past two years, I desperately needed the reminder. Austin is home to the Fab Five, who are making over the sweetest group of heroes. Just know that you’ll be crying during Everywhere single episode.

14. Sharp Objects
Where to find the Stream: HBO Max
Number of Seasons 1
My best friend and me are addicted to the kind of shows that allow us to exchange endless audio and video messages about our complicated theories while we watch. (Think: Mare of Easttown, Big Little Lies, etc.) So, when she told me to look, Sharp ObjectsI was adamant that I would start. This 2018 limited series based on the novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn follows journalist Camille Preaker—played by Amy Adams—as she heads back to her hometown in Missouri to follow a potential story. It’s got it all: a small-town murder-mystery, dynamic background characters, and a main character you learn to root for. My theories change from episode to episode, and I’m still not sure where I stand, but if there’s one thing I do know for sure, it’s that I trust Gillian Flynn to tie it all together.

15. Laguna Beach
Where to find the Stream: Paramount+
Number of Seasons 3
You know a show is an ultimate classic when “Come Clean” by Hilary Duff is the theme song! This was one of the first shows that got me into my reality show obsession, and I’ve had the biggest feeling of nostalgia since I’ve decided to rewatch where Lauren Conrad all started. This show will make you see how different our fashion tastes were in the early 2000s. It is also the perfect show for you to revisit how dramatic you were in your teenage years.
– Andi Wynter, Social Media Editor
16. Insecure
Where to find the Stream: HBO Max
Number of Seasons 5
Insecure was one of those shows that was always “on my list for a rainy day,” but I had no idea it would ultimately land a spot in my top 10 favorite shows of all time. I finally moved it up to the top of my queue and was so obsessed that I watched episodes for a whole week. I didn’t text back, work out, or do anything productive because every second of free time was spent staring at Issa Rae’s impossibly beautiful face as she navigated friendships, relationships, and finding herself in Los Angeles. It was like the perfect book you can’t put down but in show form. I laughed, I cried, I googled the actors to see if I could find other shows, and then I cried again.

17. Search Party
Where to find the Stream: HBO Max
Number of Seasons 5
I am obsessed by sitcoms. If there is a show out there that is a span of 20-ish minutes, chances are, I’m going to watch it. It seems that everyone is talking about it. Search PartyRight now, so I decided to give it a try. I’m still a bit early into this 5-season show, but right off the bat, I found myself laughing and interested in the rest of the story, which follows a group of friends searching for an old acquaintance who has gone missing. It’s captivating and witty and overall a great show to put on and just get lost in for an episode or two—or three or four or five.
