Zeitgeist Movies and Kino Lorber have landed world rights to seven Yvonne Rainer movies, newly restored in 4K by The Museum of Fashionable Artwork (MoMA) and the Celeste Bartos Fund for Movie Preservation. A press launch introduced that the gathering will display throughout a theatrical retrospective on the Metrograph February 17. The “Privilege” director may also make an in-person look on opening evening.
The characteristic restorations from Rainer’s experimental movie oeuvre span three a long time.
