Kate Middleton Wore Two Vibrant Blue Looks in Belize, Including the Perfect Spring Dress

The blue theme was chosen by Prince William and Kate Middleton for the first tour, which took place on March 20. It represents the Belize flag. The Duke and Duchess chose casual attire for a tour at the Che’il Mayan Cacao Farm and Chocolate Factory, Maya Center Village. Prince William wore a light button-down shirt with navy trousers, while Middleton wore a blue floral mid length smock dress by Tory Burch and statement earrings.

After a demonstration by the tour guide, Middleton tried to grind cacao beans during their visit. She said, “You make it seem so easy.”

The trip was not all sunshine and smiles for the royal couple, however. According to People, the duke and duchess were originally scheduled to tour a different cacao farm, but the trip was canceled over “sensitivity issues.” Ahead of the royal visit, villagers protested colonialism as well the use of their land for the royals’ helicopter.

“For us, it really hits home because of the treatment,” village youth leader Dionisio Shol told the Daily MailPer. People. “The organizer stated that they had to allow them to use the football field because people were coming into our village and it had got to look good. The community was not happy with the idea of giving community leaders commands.

Prince William and Kate Middleton will continue the tour with stops in Jamaica and the Bahamas.
