Cate Blanchett will join Jane Fonda, Meryl Steep, and Barbra Steisand. The two-time Oscar winner has been announced as the 47th recipient of Film at Lincoln Center\u2019s Chaplin Award. She\u2019ll be presented with the honor at a gala on April 25.<\/p>\n

Described as a \u201cjoyful celebration of the actor\u2019s incredible filmography,\u201d the event will feature \u201cnotable speakers, film clips, and a career-spanning conversation culminating in the presentation of the Chaplin Award.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to welcome Cate Blanchett back to Film at Lincoln Center, where three of her films have previously screened as part of the New York Film Festival,\u201d said Lesli Klainberg, Executive Director of Film at Lincoln Center. \u201cMs. Blanchett\u2019s career includes extraordinary performances in films ranging from small independent efforts to major studio franchises and with some of the most renowned directors of our time. It is our privilege to dedicate an evening of celebration to her, and add one more accolade to her many well-deserved awards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blanchett won Oscars for \u201cBlue Jasmine\u201d and \u201cThe Aviator.\u201d She\u2019s also received nods for \u201cElizabeth,\u201d \u201cNotes on a Scandal,\u201d \u201cI\u2019m Not There,\u201d and \u201cElizabeth: The Golden Age.\u201d Her more recent credits include \u201cDon\u2019t Look Up\u201d and \u201cNightmare Alley.\u201d Among the upcoming projects on her slate is \u201cA Manual for Cleaning Women,\u201d Pedro Almod\u00f3var\u2019s first English-language feature.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
