After taking on \u201cThe Invisible Man,\u201d Elisabeth Moss is squaring off against a serial killer in \u201cShining Girls.\u201d An adaptation of Lauren Beukes\u2019 best-selling novel, the Apple TV+ series tells the story of Kirby Mazrachi (Moss), a newspaper archivist whose dreams of becoming a journalist are put on the backburner after she\u2019s assaulted. \u201cAfter what he did, things aren\u2019t as they should be. It starts with little things, and then big things,\u201d she says in a new trailer for the thriller.<\/p>\n

Kirby discovers six years later that her attack was connected to a recent murder. \u201cI was cut up like her,\u201d she explains. \u201cIf you\u2019re trying to be a reporter, then this is your story,\u201d she\u2019s told.<\/p>\n

Over multiple decades, there have been many women who have died. One man is the link between them. He\u2019s described as \u201ceverybody,\u201d \u201cnobody,\u201d and \u201call the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

A two-time Emmy winner, Moss took home trophies for her leading role in \u201cThe Handmaid\u2019s Tale\u201d and exec producing the dystopian drama, which will return for a fifth season on Hulu with a release date TBA. She\u2019s also received Emmy nominations for her roles in \u201cMad Men\u201d and \u201cTop of the Lake.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShirley,\u201d \u201cUs,\u201d and \u201cHer Smell\u201d are among Moss\u2019 big screen credits.<\/p>\n
