Zendaya skipped Met Gala in order to film her upcoming Tennis drama ChallengersWe have another glimpse at the actor’s look for this film.
The 20th of May will see the official launch of the Daily MailPhotos published of the EuphoriaStar on the set of her new movie which is currently being shot in Lynn, Massachusetts. Zendaya is seen wearing a brown zip-up jacket over a white shirt in these photos. The most significant change in Zendaya’s style is her hairstyle. It is a long, voluminous style that hangs above her shoulders. Fans first caught sight of the haircut (or wig) in set photos from early May, but the blown-out style depicted in these new pics really shows off the look’s versatility—and chunky blonde highlights.
Zendaya’s latest transformation to her hair is all about dimension, with lots of honey-toned highlights. The combination of the cozy sweater and the hairstyle is a perfect example of the coastal-grandmother aesthetic popularized, I don’t know why. Everywhere Nancy Meyers movie ever made. The photos can be viewed here.
Of course, Zendaya is not starring in a wine-fueled rom-com set primarily in an airy kitchen with a farmhouse sink and open shelving…at least, not yet. In ChallengersLuca Guadagnino directs the filmCall me by your name), Zendaya plays Tashi, “a tennis player turned coach” who pressures her husband, Art (Mike Faist), into competing against his former best friend and her former boyfriend (Josh O’Connor) in a tournament on the lower-level professional tennis Challenger circuit.
