All the New Disney Movies Coming Out in 2022

The roster of new Disney movies 2022 will bring us is spectacular—and there really is something for everyone. 

2022 is fast approaching us after the holiday season that flew by faster than ever. There are many things to look forward to in 2022, both for kids and adults. 

There are many new Disney movies due to be released in 2022. These include animated Disney movies, live-action versions classics, and new movies on Disney Plus. After a few years of delays and release, it seems that 2022 will see more titles than 2021 combined. It seems that many of the most anticipated Disney movies will finally be released this year.).

Some highlights include new Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, the follow-up to 2016’s Doctor Strange that will also continue Wanda Maximoff’s story that we saw in 2020’s Disney Plus show WandaVision,The film will be available in May. Benedict Cumberbatch is back as the Manhattan-based wizard. Sam Raimi, the iconic director of horror and superhero genres, will be at the helm. It comes out on May 6, hopefully, since it’s been pushed back a few times. Thor: Love and ThunderTaiki Waititi will direct the film. Black PantherContinuation Wakanda Forever. 

A sequel to one the greatest Disney movies ever made will be released in 2022. In fall 2022 we’ll be blessed with Hocus Pocus 2.The highly anticipated sequel to the 1993 Halloween classic, ”The Nightmare Before Christmas’. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy will all be back. 

Essentially, there are a lot of new Disney movies to look forward to in 2022 featuring Scarlet Witch’s antics, Chris Hemsworth’s sculpted abs, Bette Midler’s witch teeth, and more. And did we mention the Cheaper by the DozenRemake starring Zach Braff & Gabrielle Union Or Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear’s real man. Lightyear? We’re looking forward to those too.

Buck Wild’s Ice Age Adventures (January 28)

The strangely popular Ice Age franchise (no one talks about it, everyone’s seen it?) continues, and this time it’s about possums. In this Disney movie, Sid the Sloth and mammoths are back.

Sneakerella (February 18)

Because of the 2000s Disney Channel Original Movie vibes, everyone who isn’t laughing on this movie can actually take several seats. It’s giving Jump in, it’s giving Cheetah Girls, it’s giving Camp Rock. It’s gender-swapped Cinderella set on the streets of New York, where glass slippers are out and limited edition kicks are in. The tweens are going crazy.
