Green Bay Packers quarterback and questioner of vaccine science Aaron Rodgers is giving some love to his ex-fiancé Shailene Woodley.
Rodgers posted a gallery of images to his Instagram grid on Monday, February 21 and started with a quote attributed to the poet Rumi: “Gratitude is wine for the soul. Get drunk. Get drunk.”
With that sentiment in mind, Rodgers wrote in the caption, “Here’s some… #MondayNightGratitude for some of the incredibly special people in my life, with some pictures from the last beautiful year.” His shout-outs included friends, fans, and fellow NFL players, but the kindest words were reserved for Woodley. To her, he wrote, “Thanks for letting me chase after you the first couple months after we met, and finally letting me catch up to you and be a part of your life. Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like, I love you and am grateful for you.”
He also included a photo of them both snuggled up on a couch.
