Taiwanese model-actress Lin Chi-ling has posted a photo of herself online for the first time since announcing that she has become a mother on the eve of Chinese New Year earlier this year.
The 47-year-old posted the photo on Facebook on March 27, as she wrote in Chinese: “Good afternoon. The source of energy every day.”
The photo showed her holding a cup and promoting the chicken essence that she endorses.
Her post has received more than 600 comments. Some of her fans said that she still looks beautiful after becoming mother, while others said that she looks younger.
Lin, who is married to Japanese actor Akira, 40, surprised her fans on Jan 31 with her announcement on social media that her “little angel” has arrived.
She used social media to spark pregnancy rumours when she was 47, but didn’t confirm the rumours.
This led to speculation about her son being born via surrogacy. But Akira indirectly addressed the issue in an online interview in February. He said that she was still committed to having a baby. He added that she was drinking chicken soup for nutrition since the arrival of their son.
Akira, a member of J-pop boy band Exile shared his joy at being a father in the interview. He said that he would work harder to provide for his family.
Lin, who has acted on movies such as Red Cliff (2008) and 2009, and the romantic drama Say Yes (2013) has switched her focus to her family after her marriage in June 2019.
She has reduced the number of work assignments she is assigned and has made very few public appearances.
