Hong Ye-seul, our heroine (Seo Jihye), works as a project manager in an advertising agency. She tends to be a pushover. She is also a project manager at an advertising agency and often seeks approval from Cha Min-hoo (Yoon Kye–sang). She makes many of her decisions based on his responses.
Ye-seul, who is in charge of a campaign at a bedding company, is unsure of herself and is always ready to be rejected.
In episode two, after Ye-sul finishes setting up a pop-up store to promote their campaign, Min-hoo questions why she didn’t present an idea like that earlier to him.
He later offers some enlightening advice — that it is better to make one good plan instead of coming up with many proposals — before subtly complimenting her work. Ye-seul is now empowered and vows to present her work in a better light before her superiors.
Our leading lady shows us that while the male lead is the catalyst of change, it is okay for us to accept compliments and learn how we can be the stars of our own lives. At the end of the day, people are more likely to be convinced that you’re capable if you own your power.
