Most asked questions

How long do baked potatoes take to cook in the air fryer?

It will take between 35 and 40 minutes at 400F depending on the potato’s size. Halfway through cooking, turn the potatoes over. When you can easily insert a knife into the centers of the potatoes, they’re done.

Do you need to pierce the potato before air-frying?

Yes, you should puncture potatoes before air-frying. The holes allow steam to escape from the potatoes during cooking.

Do I need to wrap my potato in foil before air-frying?

You don’t need to wrap potatoes in foil because it will make the skin soggy. You can bake potatoes crispy by air-frying them unwrapped. I like to coat the skin with olive oil, and sprinkle salt on top. The crisp, salty skin is so tasty; plus, it’s loaded with fiber.

Baked Potato Toppings

You can be creative with baked potato toppings. Here are some suggestions, but please leave a comment with your favorite ways to eat them.

  • BBQ:BBQ sauce, pulled chicken or pork, cheddar cheese, green onions
  • Butter:You can keep it simple and add butter, ghee or coconut oil to your dish. Finish it off with salt.
  • Loaded PotatoesButter, cheddar cheese or Greek yogurt, butter, chopped bacon, and chives.
  • Broccoli and Cheese
  • Stuffed Potatoes:These Turkey Chili Baked Potatoes and Philly Cheesesteak Potatoes are my favorites for stuffed potatoes.
