Trailer Watch: A Group of Plus-Sized Women Summit Mt. Kilimanjaro in Ida Rodriguez Joglar’s Doc “Kili Big”

From director Ida Rodriguez Joglar, the doc follows 20 plus-sized ladies on their epic quest to climb to the summit of the world’s tallest freestanding mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

The ladies, who name themselves the Curvy Kili Crew, share their experiences of judgement, and the teachings of self-acceptance they’ve realized alongside the way in which, as they embark on their journey collectively. They’re used to being checked out, receiving feedback on what they’re consuming, and different individuals having restricted expectations of what they will obtain. However whereas they’re from totally different backgrounds, and have totally different motivations for desirous to climb the mountain, collectively all of them work in the direction of their shared objective.
