Siân Heder to Receive American Film Institute’s Franklin J. Schaffner Alumni Medal

Siân Heder is ready to simply accept one more honor following a whirlwind awards season that culminated within the “CODA” writer-director touchdown a Finest Tailored Screenplay Oscar and the coming-of-age pic being named Finest Image. A press launch from the American Movie Institute (AFI) introduced that she’ll obtain the Franklin J. Earlier recipients of the award embrace Lesli Linka Glatter (“Homeland”), Patty Jenkins (“Marvel Lady”), and Melina Matsoukas (“Queen & Slim”).

Heder shall be introduced with the award on the upcoming AFI Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute to Julie Andrews, set to happen June 9.
